1997 Donruss and 1999 Donruss
The requested late-1990s Donruss issues belong to an earlier company era than modern Panini Donruss. Base cards and inserts should be identified by the year’s own checklist. Do not apply an Optic or Clearly label to an older card merely because the Donruss name is present.
2024 Donruss
The 2024 paper-oriented annual product has its own base, Rated Rookie and insert checklists. A complete base set does not include every insert or parallel. Product-season dating should be retained even when a box reached collectors in a later calendar year.
2024 Donruss Optic
Optic uses a chromium presentation and a separate product checklist. A Holo or colored parallel needs exact identification; a glossy paper Donruss card is not an Optic card. Inspect the reflective surface and the back for the full product name before comparing prices.
2023 Clearly Donruss
Clearly uses transparent acetate. The 2023 season should be distinguished from the date of its 2024 promotional coverage and release activity. Transparent areas expose scratches and handling marks that may vanish against a busy background; inspect against a neutral backdrop.
2024 Clearly Donruss
The following Clearly season retains the acetate concept with a new checklist. The brand includes Rated Rookies and named inserts; those are separate collection categories. Store acetate cards without pressure or abrasive contact, and preserve the manufacturer’s exact parallel name rather than describing only its visible color.
