2010 Allen & Ginter

The 350-card base checklist ends with short prints numbered 301–350. Standard cards and minis require separate checklists; a mini is not simply a smaller copy to substitute into a standard-size set. This Day in History adds a baseball-themed insert project, while themed mini sets such as Lords of Olympus broaden the subject matter.

Standard cards, minis and themed sets

Start a 2010 inventory with separate columns for size, card number and back type. A standard card and a mini can show the same subject while serving different checklist goals. Minis can also belong to themed sets whose numbers and subjects do not follow the baseball base run. A photograph of only the front may therefore leave the most useful identifier unseen.

For an assembled collection, ask whether “complete” means the ordinary numbered set, the short prints as well, or a broader collection including minis and inserts. Photograph the final numbered block and each named mini group separately. This turns an ambiguous box of similarly styled cards into a collection whose actual coverage can be checked.

  • Record standard or mini format before counting duplicates.
  • Keep themed mini titles separate from the numbered baseball run.
  • Use back photographs to establish the precise version.
