1992 Pinnacle

The 620-card debut uses two equal series and black-bordered designs. Idols, Sidelines, Shades and Grips add unusual subjects within the base checklist. The rear anti-counterfeit pattern is a design feature, but no single photographed feature substitutes for full authentication.

1993 Pinnacle

The 620-card, two-series structure continues and includes Derek Jeter among its draft subjects. Now and Then and Hometown Heroes expand the subset mix. Those named base groups should be distinguished from Team Pinnacle and other separately numbered inserts.

1994 Pinnacle

The 540-card release moves to borderless photography and gold-foil names, split into two equal series. Rookie Prospects and Draft Picks are base subsets. The design change helps distinguish it from the black-bordered early issues before identifying any parallel.

1995 Pinnacle

Two 225-card series form a 450-card checklist. A baseball-seam-inspired gold nameplate identifies the base design, while Dufex treatments appear in separate chase groups. Match the actual insert or parallel name instead of describing every reflective Pinnacle card simply as gold.

1996 Pinnacle

The 400-card set uses thicker stock and a triangular gold-foil name area. The Naturals, Hardball Heroes and The .300 Series are checklist subsets. A special base design should not automatically be removed from a completion list as an optional insert.

1997 Pinnacle

The 200-card first release is distinct from the separately named New Pinnacle product that replaced the planned second series. Do not combine them under an assumed continuous base checklist. Clout subjects also need their subset identity preserved.
