2020 Topps Chrome Ben Baller

The debut reworks the contemporary Chrome design and includes 1985-style inserts and Ben's Diamond Die-Cuts. The edition-specific design must be identified before any color parallel. A standard 2020 Chrome card of the same player is a different collecting item.

2021 Topps Chrome Ben Baller

The checklist contains 219 cards because number 131 is absent. Icy joins Ben's Diamond Die-Cuts and the 1986-design tribute. Follow the documented numbering gap rather than searching for an ordinary missing 131 when assembling the edition.

2022 Topps Chrome Ben Baller

The 225-card edition was released in 2023 under the 2022 product name. Ridin' Low and a 1987-design tribute distinguish its inserts. Preserve the product year and edition rather than assigning the card to 2023 based on the release calendar.

Edition first, parallel second

Establish the Ben Baller Edition before describing a color. The collaboration's design details and named inserts distinguish it from ordinary Chrome, while the parallel color and serial stamp identify a version within that edition. A card can therefore share a player, number and broad color description with regular Chrome while remaining a different issue.

Keep the retro-design inserts, Ben's Diamond Die-Cuts and each year's additional themes in their own checklist groups. An intentional die-cut edge is not trimming, but it still needs clear condition photographs. For a graded example, preserve the full edition and insert name rather than shortening the label to a year, player and grade.
