2022 Topps Chrome Gilded

The inaugural 160-card base checklist is numbered to 99 and was released in 2023 under the 2022 name. Gold Frame Hall of Famers and Gold Etch autographs are separate groups. A framed autograph should not be counted as an ordinary base card.

The 168-card checklist distinguishes 150 base cards numbered to 99 from eighteen Cast in Gold subjects numbered to 199. That internal split matters when comparing limits. The larger number on a Cast in Gold card does not by itself indicate an incorrect parallel.

The base checklist returns to 150 cards numbered to 99. Gallery of Gold, Champions and framed Hall of Fame autographs add separate collecting projects. Preserve the frame, signature and subset identities independently from the gold-toned base design.

Gold appearance is not a checklist

Gilded's base cards and framed autograph groups share a gold visual identity, but their names and numbering systems differ. A buyer needs the complete subset and serial stamp to understand which card is being offered. The 2023 Cast in Gold segment is an especially useful reminder that not every card in an annual release has the same numbered limit.

For a framed card, photograph the complete frame and back as well as the central signed area. Distinguish the product's factory presentation from later grading. A numbered gold-toned card is not automatically a Gold Etch autograph or a Hall of Fame framed card; each of those phrases identifies a particular checklist component.
